Ok friends, it is Rodeo time here in Houston, which means big things...like horses that come to school, rodeo dress up days, square dancing learned in gym class, boots selling out, country music blaring and good food...oh and did I mention that I LOVE Texas!
I mean and how about those Texas colors for a little rodeo wear inspiration.
And how could I forget my little bit?! I mean can we talk about that silly pose and a little God smile just for second.
So yesterday was a HARD day to say the least. Our family lost someone very special. My heart still hearts just thinking about not seeing her car when I round the corner at my mom and dad's house, or hearing her chase Eleanor around the house, or getting my daily phone call to just say hi, but then my head kicks in. My head tells me that our sweet Carmen was assigned by God to care for my special needs brother. Our awesome God gave us Carmen, and talk about timing, waited till my precious brother ended his time here, before her cancer battle began. My God knew that yesterday would just for the lack of a better word, suck, and that today would be a joyful day. A day filled with rodeo fun, and a family lunch date, for daddy's birthday and friends stepping in to save my rear. So today we will smile, and laugh and sing, and picture my brother and Carmen doing those exact same things in heaven.
